Lydia and Cousin Colin

For my mom's birthday my sister and I got pictures of Lydia and her son Colin taken together.  They turned out great!
It took Lydia a while to get the smiles going...
We've been framed!
She wanted it all to herself this time!
Lydia's practicing for senior pictures already!
Sassy!
So cute I can't stand it!
Looks right out of a catalog!
Who me?
This one is Daddy's favorite pose!

This one's aimed right at you, Gran Jan!

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July with our friends and family in Fountain, Colorado. The Hamiltons (Matt's sister's brother-in-law's family if you want to make it real confusing) invited us to hang out and enjoy some BBQ and fireworks with them at their home. They have three adorable daughters who are so incredibly sweet with Lydia. She just adored them!

It rained super hard for about 20-25 minutes not long after we got there, but the kids wasted no time getting outside as soon as the rain stopped and played in the puddles! It was so fun to watch kids just being kids.

After they dried off, the girls changed into their swimsuits and we had a water balloon fight...though I think the adults threw more at each other than the kids did! Then when the sun went down we lit some fireworks. It was just a fun day!

Where a kid can be a kid!

Matt, Lydia, Grandma Susan, and I met Aunt Tiffany and Cousin Colin at Chuck E. Cheese's on Wednesday. It's always fun to see the kids react to all the sights and sounds. Lydia cracks Matt and I up because almost every time we drive by Chuck E. Cheese's, she shouts out, "Look! It's macaroni and cheese!"

She's ready for the NFL!

Matt coulda been a contender...all the high school coaches begged for him to play back in the day! It would have taken some BIG dudes to knock him down!

We had a lot of fun! It will be even more fun when Colin is walking and talking along with Lydia!
